The Power of Vulnerability means that we can make changes in our life whilst feeling fear.
In less than 3 weeks I am launching this baby!
I’m shaking with excitement (and slight terror). I am feeling vulnerability big time!
What if this website is crap! What if I have slogged for six months and nobody wants to read my stuff?
It has always been my dream to help women feel more empowered and for 20 years I have worked in this area. Now I am going online – a totally new experience for me.
In moments like this I like to read Joseph Campbell, especially his quote…
‘The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are’
I feel honored to be able to do the work that I do. I did not always feel like that. I used to feel shame when telling people I read Tarot cards in case they thought I was a wacko. The rational, down to earth, science part of my brain was horrified. So even though I was very successful and made more money in Tarot than any other work I have ever done, I never got onto the rooftops and shouted about it. Basically I had a very intuitive, emphatic side to me that I was afraid to acknowledge. I had a vulnerability about my psychic side. It took time to switch that around.
Now I realize what an amazing tool Tarot is!
Tarot helps us explore our depths and understand ourselves better. How can I not share my experiences with the world? How can I not teach something I am so deeply passionate about. I am being who I am and honestly – that’s NOT an easy thing to do. Society, culture, religion, friends and family like to tell us how to be.
I like to think that my courses not only teach about intuition, tarot and oracles, but also guides women to truly be who she wants to be.
There is no greater gift in life than to be who we really are.
Its time to be ourselves, real and vulnerable as a woman and in that space we can feel empowered.
Here is one of my favorite TED talks about the power of vulnerability…
