Tarot is not just about picking up a pack of Tarot cards – it also utilizes the skill of Body Language. The minute you make a connection with someone who wants a reading you should move into an observant mode and see the connection between Tarot and Body Language.
How did they make the appointment? Was it easy for them? Did they haggle over the price? Did they want to discuss the reading before they paid? Did they have fears?
Then you do the reading. The moment a person comes into your presence you are unconsciously reading their body language. Millions of years of evolution means that you will sense and ‘know’ things about a person simply by studying their body language. How did they shake your hand? Did they want to shake your hand? How do they sit? How do they position their legs and arms? Do they make eye contact? Is their mouth relaxed? Before they even touch a Tarot card or speak you can already know a great deal about them.
So next time you do a reading look at the connection between Tarot and Body Language.
In my Tarot e-Courses I present real authentic Tarot readings that I recorded with the permission of the client. I then reflect back on the video noting not just the Tarot cards, questions and spreads but also the body language used. I truly believe if you are teaching a person how to read Tarot, you also need to teach them Body Language.
The reverse is also true. As a Tarot Reader you need to come across as confident. Someone has asked you for help and you need to feel competent in that space – especially if you are new to Tarot reading. You have probably heard the expression, ‘Fake it till you make it’ so combining Tarot and Body Language can make you come across as confident, experienced and professional.
Check out this short 6 minute video below where coach Ahalya talks about how to look confident with body language. She gives great tips. Especially watch 3.45 minutes where she describes how to minimize body movements in order to maximize your authority.
