THREE OF PENTACLES POWERWORDS
Collaboration, Teamwork, Combinations that bring success
QUICK MEANING
The Three of Pentacles is telling you that it is time to work with others to bring your goals to fruition.
TRADITIONAL MEANING
Working together, Teamwork, Success, Learning Skills
CARD DESCRIPTION
Three men talk to each other. One is a worker and the other two are discussing the mans work. Perhaps they are his patrons or source of income and inspiration. Together they work as a team.
SYMBOLS
Worker
The worker is a Freemason who is improving in his skills. The creator of the Rider Waite Smith deck (A. Waite) was a Freemason. The worker is discussing his work with the two men standing below him. Even though he is a ‘worker’ he stands ‘above’ the other two men. His work is special, even perhaps holy.
Two Men – Monk and Rich Man
The monk represents spiritual help on the creative material world. The rich man represents money that is available to you if you know where to find it. The rich man holds plans to the sacred space they stand in. His fiances help this project.
The Three Pentacles
The Three Pentacles are decorations on the church archway. They show the spiritual heights and greater purpose our ideas, creativity, skills and manifesting can bring to the world. The three pentacles are also in the shape of the Supernal Triad – the first three sphirot on the Tree of Life. The circle inside with the cross indicates the two paths you can take on the Tree of Life – upwards and downwards. The four quarters also indicate the four elements which make up the material world which Pentacles represents.
Church Archway
The archway is a technical achievement of architecture. It transformed how buildings could be constructed. It started as an idea, then experimentation and then building with the collaboration of others. In some ways the arch is a perfect symbol for this card – success with the help of others.
Rose
The Rose is a very important esoteric symbol. It is a symbol of Christ. A symbol of the 5 elements (earth, air, fire, water and spirit). It shows the ability of humans to bring spirituality into the material everyday world.
MORE THOUGHTS ON THIS CARD
I find this card comes up again and again when women have an amazing idea but often do not have the confidence, skills or courage to make that idea happen. Then there will be cards like the 8 of Swords or strong negative reversed cards around the three of pentacles. Confidence comes with doing – feel the fear and do it anyway. Yet for many women this can be a terrifying challenge. Do not forget that we could only vote the past 100 years and in some part of the worlds not even that. For thousands of years we have not been allowed or encouraged to stand in our full power and rise with the help of others. Imagine what your grandmother or great grandmother would have done with the choices they have available to them today.
Here is an affirmation for you that I learned from Denise over at Lucky Bitch – ‘Its my time now and I’m ready for the next step’
Even if you do not feel 100% ready (do we ever?), telling the universe you are ready will bring so many rewards. Courage is feeling excited and terrified and doing it anyway.
If you need to improve your skills ask for help or get an expert to do the parts you do not like. Mastermind groups, supportive women groups online and in your local area, free online information and female entrepreneurs can help you step into your power. I have met so many women with mind-blowing ideas who never made them happen. They were worried about what others would think. They obsessed that somehow their idea was silly or no one would be interested it it. Perhaps they got feedback and that put them off. Do not give up. If you have an idea, the world would like to see it. FEAR should not hold you back.

GOLDEN DAWN / QABALA
The Hermetic title for this card is ‘Lord of Material Works ‘
On the Tree of Life, the Number Three cards sit on the Sphiroth Binah which represents understanding. After the energy from the Divine enters Kether at the top of the Tree of Life, it next flows to Chokhmah. Chokhmah is the place of wisdom. The energy then flows onto Binah which is the feminine energy of understanding. Sometimes we need to stop, stand back and understand the full picture before proceeding. What do we need? What step to take next?

THREE OF PENTACLES REVERSED
When this card is reversed you are being warned that perhaps now is NOT the time to get advice, listen to other peoples opinions or work in a team. This perhaps is a time for you to strike out on your own.
Two important questions to consider with a reversed Three of Pentacles:
Why do you worry about what other people think?
Do you follow other peoples advice more than your own?
